Private Wine Tasting
Alsace Grand crus
where you’re lstaying
Description
Alsace has no fewer than 51 Grand Cru vineyards, spread along the Rhine plain.
This diversity of terroirs and grape varieties creates an infinite palette of wine personalities! (6 grape varieties can claim the Grand Cru appellation: the fab-five Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Muscat, Pinot Gris or Pinot Noir, and in a very specific area, Sylvaner)
This tasting of Grand Crus from all the Alsace vineyards and various terroirs (sandstone, schist, granite...) will give you a better understanding of grape varieties and their aromatic characteristics, as well as the influence of terroir on grape variety.
In Alsace, almost all wines are traditionally vinified from a single grape variety, which makes it possible to appreciate comparisons such as those mentioned above (the impact of terroir) as well as the vintage effect.
This tasting of premium Alsatian wines will leave a lasting impression on your senses!
It will be accompanied by typical Alsatian products (our famous kougelhopf cake, local pretzels, regional sausages like the so-called “landjaeger”...).
Your moment
- A tasting of 6 different Alsace wines: white wines (dry and sweet), from different grape varieties, a crémant and a red or rosé (pinot noir).
- This tasting is accompanied by typical Alsatian products (our brioche, the “kougelhopf”, the famous pretzels, some local charcuterie and the “landjaeger” sausage...), and of course bread.
